The NFL Free Agent market opens on March 12th, and while the Browns have already said they won't be big spenders, there are a couple of players out there who would have me breaking out the checkbook.
Steelers WR Mike Wallace tops my list of receivers. A deep threat who would shine in Coach Chud's vertical offense, Wallace is coming off a pretty good season (836 yards, 8 TD's), but topped 1,000 yards in both 2010 and 2011. The issue? Money. He wants at least $10 mil a year. There are some in the Steelers organization who fear that the Browns will get a deal done, but it won't be at that price. Wallace will need a reality check.
Ravens OLB Paul Kruger has stopped celebrating his Super Bowl title, and is ready to cash in. A defensive force down the stretch of the regular season, and in the playoffs, Kruger's value is at an all-time high. He'd make an immediate impact in Ray Horton's hybrid 3-4 defense, but the Ravens may scramble to keep him.
