TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The
Toledo Cash Mob plans to help give a small business a big boost this weekend.
The
goal of the Cash Mob is to spread the love around to different small businesses
by spending money there. This month, the mob will hit Crazy Prices on Reynolds
Road.
The
mob asks participants to spend $20 at the store, but it can be less.
Organizers
said they chose Crazy Prices not only to draw new business into the local
store, but because all the profits made there go directly to non-profit
organizations.
The
Toledo Cash Mob has been around for about a year, and they say participating is
a way to have fun, do some shopping, and do some good.
"I
think this kind of helped because like I said, it gets people out of their
comfort zone, and [they] discover something amazing that's local, locally
owned," said Erin O'Bryan of the Toledo Cash Mob. "And you're supporting local
business, which we want to keep here."
The
cash mob will be at Crazy Prices on Reynolds Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
