It doesn't get any lower than this.
Thieves broke into the Old Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church in the 500 block of Euclid Street in East Toledo and trashed the place.
Damage was so bad Sunday services had to be canceled.
"Disgusted. Very disgusted over what happened," said Jeff Monhollen, pastor of the church.
Copper water pipes were stripped from a downstairs meeting room and ceiling tiles were tossed everywhere.
The entire room was flooded with several inches of water.
A water tank was also wrecked.
"Things are going to happen. Just have to take things as they come. That's the way I look at it," said Pastor Monhollen.
And there was more damage.
In the sanctuary upstairs, thieves searched for more copper in the floor boards but came up empty handed.
Also, the usher's office was ransacked.
No word yet if any money is missing.
"Sort of like waking up from a bad dream. Is this real? Shakes your mind," said member Robert Lawson.
Adding insult to injury, the brazen crooks apparently took their time.
A wrapper from a Subway sandwich littered the sanctuary with an empty pop bottle not far away.
"It's just very heartbreaking to think that people would just come into our church and destroy it because they don't know what it means to us," said member Darlene Lawson.
Pastor Monhollen says insurance will cover the damage, but he plans to install a security system at the church.
