Chicopee officer injured during SWAT training

CHICOPEE, MA (WSHM) -

A Chicopee police officer was injured today during SWAT training at Westover Air Reserve Base.

According to Chicopee Mayor Michael Bissonnette the officer was taken to Baystate Medical Center. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Bissonnette said the incident appears to be an accidental. State police and Chicopee police are investigating.
