Testimony has begun in the aggravated murder trial of Richard Beasley in the Craigslist murders.
The first witness is Dr. Michelle Moreno, a family physician who says she treated Richard Beasley at an Akron clinic while he used the name of Ralph Geiger. Geiger is one of the men prosecutors say Beasley murdered.
She says he came to the clinic asking for narcotic pain medications. She told him she would need his past medical records to prescribe the drugs. She also says his beard and hair looked dyed.
Prosecutors contend Beasley assumed Geiger's identity after Geiger was murdered.
Beasley and his teen accomplice, Brogan Rafferty, allegedly lured men to a remote farm in Noble County through a Craigslist ad that promised work.
Three men were killed, a fourth man was shot, but survived.
Rafferty has already been convicted of murder and attempted murder, and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
