Bedroom fire damages central Toledo home

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Toledo homeowner is forced out of a home early Wednesday morning, when a fire sparked just after midnight.

It happened on the 1700 block of Cone Street, near Isherwood Avenue, in central Toledo.

Fire investigators say the blaze began in a back bedroom of the single-story home and spread throughout the structure.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames.

The resident was not home when the fire started, according to fire officials.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
