Flowers Foods confirms Hostess bid is moving forward

It looks like the sale is moving forward. 

Flowers Foods, Inc. confirmed today that it's bid for the Hostess brands Wonder, Nature's Pride, Merita, Home Pride, and Butternut bread brands is moving forward.

Northwood is home to a Wonder Bread bakery, just south of Toledo.

Their bid comes in at $360 million. It was declared the highest bid, making Friday's scheduled auction unnecessary.

This means the sale moves to the next phase of review by a bankruptcy court.

That hearing is scheduled for March 10th.
