Did you know that March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday? And the best way to celebrate the author of so many children's classics is, of course, to share his rhymes and illustrations with a child.

The official website for all things Dr. Seuss says:

"Dr. Seuss epitomizes a love of children and learning. Also, his use of rhyme makes his books an effective tool for teaching young children the basic skills they need to be successful. When we celebrate Dr. Seuss and reading, we send a clear message to America's children that reading is fun and important."

So if you have a child in your life, why not pick up a Dr. Seuss classic and read to them this weekend?

Find his stories at the Toledo Lucas County library, or a local book shop, if you don't have one at home.

Or, visit Seussville.com and play interactive games, look at pictures, and even learn more about the author himself, Theodor Geisel.
