Homicide investigators ID victim found in west side apartment

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
Cleveland Homicide investigators were called to Cleveland's west side after a woman was found dead in an apartment.
Officers were called to 1414 West 101st around 2 p.m. Friday to assist Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) Police.
When officers arrived they located the victim, 47-year-old Jacqueline Cooper. She had head trauma and was pronounced dead on the scene.
After investigating, police say a CMHA employee was conducting a welfare check for Cooper who is listed as a missing person. Upon checking the apartment she was located in the bedroom lying in the bed.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will do an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
