CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Police were called to E. 79th and Woodland for a shooting.  When they arrived, they only found blood and casings.  The 2 male victims, a 42-year old man and his 17-year old nephew drove themselves to the Cleveland Clinic.

They told police they were driving in the area when they were approached by a man in a trench coat who opened fire on the vehicle.  The man was shot in the thigh, the teen was shot in the neck.

The suspect is described as a black male, short hair, "chin whiskers" 5'9, thin 25-30 years old.

Then police were called to a shooting from a robbery attempt.  Officers responded to E. 144th and Nell where the male had driven to after being shot.  He later died at the hospital.

No detailed suspect information was given.

Around 3 a.m., police were driving on Woodland when they saw a large fight at 5307 Woodland Avenue.  Officers heard shots fired and tried to break up the fight.

Officers observed a black male with a black and gray "varsity" jacket fleeing southbound through the lot. The victim, Samuel Cannon of Cleveland, was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for a gunshot wound to his right thigh.

Another shooting victim came into the Cleveland Clinic around 3:46 a.m.  That victim claimed he was shot at E. 108th and Superior.

At 4:18 a.m., a shooting victim showed up at University Hospital.  That victim did not say where the shooting occurred.
