New hotline number helping troopers fight crime

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says increased efforts to crack down on drug trafficking and other crimes are paying off, thanks to the public.

A new hotline number, #677, replaced an old hotline a year ago.

The patrol now gets more than 4-thousand calls per month.

Troopers urge people to call in tips about impaired drivers, drug activity and other crimes.
