Police said a landlord who was cleaning out the couple's home on Paine Avenue in east Toledo mid-April discovered the infant's body. The infant was wrapped in a garbage bag and frozen solid.
A few months after the baby was found, the Lucas County coroner determined the child was born alive, and the cause of death was "ligature strangulation and submersion in water." It was then that the coroner determined the child's death was a homicide.
