Emergency crews responded to multiple car accidents Wednesday morning.
Police are also investigating what caused a semi truck accident on I-475 northbound. It happened around 5:30 a.m. between the Salisbury exits and Airport Highway.
A female truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries..
Traffic was merged into one lane while crews cleared the scene.
According to 911 dispatchers with Sylvania Township, a two-car accident occurred on Interstate 475 westbound just before the U.S. Route 23 split. Officials say the accident happened around 8:20 a.m.
It's unknown at this time if officials will need to shut down the road for clean up.
Both directions of Interstate 75 were down to a crawl for quite a while Wednesday morning. Multiple accidents happened between the Willys Parkway and Ottawa River Road exits.
A separate accident occurred around 8:20 a.m. on I-75 southbound. Toledo 911 dispatch says one car crashed between the Ottawa River Road entrance and Interstate 280.
The driver was injured. The extent of those injures have not yet been released.
At the Berdan exit on I-75 another truck lost control and flipped.
The accident was cleared quickly.
The driver was not injured.
