Toledo Public School leaders are meeting with parents Wednesday night to update them on what is happening within the district.
TPS holds these public forums twice a year with two being held Wednesday at Rogers and Bowsher high schools. These forums give parents a chance to learn about what their kids are doing in school, while also providing parents the opportunity to ask questions to administrators and teachers.
According to TPS officials, one of the topics they will tackle at this round of meetings is how the district plans to deal with the mandates and school reform issues coming out of Columbus. This includes how they plan to prepare third graders to pass their reading assessments and prevent them from being held back. Officials will also give updates on programs they offer, upcoming events and discipline issues.
The forum at Rogers High School starts at 5 p.m. and the forum at Bowsher High School starts at 6:30 p.m.
