STRONGSVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Police are investigating after an object is thrown at the windshield of a substitute school teachers car, shattering it.

The substitute is filling in while the Strongsville teachers are on strike. Their strike began on Monday, March 4.

Strongsville Police say the incident occurred around 4:10 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of I-71 near the Ohio Turnpike.

The teacher tells officers a late model, dark blue, low-rider type vehicle with tinted windows and rust on the bottom of the passenger door panel pulled directly next to her vehicle, then accelerated to about ten feet ahead of her vehicle.

At that time the passenger side window of the suspect vehicle partially opened and an object was thrown out, striking and shattering the windshield of her vehicle.

Any person who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have any information related to the identity of the suspect(s) or vehicle is asked to call the Strongsville Police at 440-580-3230.
