TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Pope Francis is the first Jesuit Pope, and that
means a lot for some students in the Toledo area.
Students at St. John's Jesuit High School are
excited, and say they are shocked at the news, as well. They said Jesuits are
very humble people, and they are very submissive to the Pope.
"I think everyone here is really excited," said
Zachoberus Rye, a senior at St. John's. "I'm really excited…The Jesuits, you
don't really hear about them, so I think it's really cool now that the Pope is
Jesuit and gets to bring his own twist on things."
The students believe Pope Francis will focus
more toward education and social justice than the Church doctrine itself.
