The Ohio Department of Public Safety is cracking down on the sale of alcohol to minors in the area.
Officers have been conducting undercover investigations, targeting liquor stores that have been identified as trouble spot.
A confidential, underage informant enters the location and attempts to buy alcohol. If they are successful, the store employee will be summoned to court. The liquor permit-holder will also be held responsible. Consequences can include fines and revocation or suspension of their liquor license.
