Toledo Fire and Rescue promotes 16 members

A total of 16 individuals were promoted within Toledo Fire and Rescue. A total of 16 individuals were promoted within Toledo Fire and Rescue.
TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

On Friday morning, Toledo Fire Chief Luis Santiago promoted more than a dozen members of the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department.

A ceremony was held at Government Center where Toledo Fire and Rescue promoted four individuals to the rank of battalion chief, five officers moved up from lieutenant to captain, and seven firefighters were promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

"I'm one of those kids that always wanted to be a firefighter. I always wanted to be a Toledo firefighter, so for me this is another chapter of my dream. It feels really good," said Capt. Matthew Brixey.

To the rank of Battalion Chief:

-Captain Timothy Clapp

-Captain Damon Williams

-Captain David Rodriguez

To the rank of Captain:

-Lieutenant John Schnorberger

-Lieutenant Matthew Brixey

-Lieutenant Ronald Magers

-Lieutenant Dexter Baker

-Lieutenant Douglas Palicki

To the rank of Lieutenant:

-Private Jeffery Schroeder 

-Private Kathy Zeller

-Private Thomas Bartley

-Private Brian Gardner

-Private Stephen Rutkowski

-Private Daryl Ray

-Private Kirk Keane

Now they start a new chapter of their service with Toledo Fire and Rescue.
