A local family is working hard to make sure their little boy gets the education he needs.
There was a bowling fundraiser at Eastern Lanes in Northwood.
Family, friends and neighbors came out for 4 year-old Jaidyn Orlando.
They were hoping to raise the final $2,200 needed to enroll him at the Autism early earning program in Toledo.
There was a silent auction and 50-50 raffle and the bowling lanes donated 50 percent of its bowling proceeds.
"It will help him with his sensory issues. He lost his speech at 14 months old. They have top notch speech therapy and pathologists there. Dr. Danielle Delong, who's a child psychologist, is on site," said Jaidyn's grandmother, Kathy Orlando.
Clay High School student Taylor Roberts, who is studying pediatric nursing, made this fundraiser her senior project.
