SYLVANIA, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Sylvania
businesses will be showing off at the 2013 Showcase Sylvania Expo this
Saturday.
The
Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce started the business expo 10 years ago, with
only 35 businesses taking part. This year, there will be 169 businesses
represented at Tam-O-Shanter to showcase what they offer.
Organizers
are expecting 4,000 people to attend, and say everyone will find something to
peak their interest. From clothing stores to home improvement store, health and
beauty, and more – there will even be entertainment, a "taste of Sylvania," and
a kids' area. But Chamber of Commerce President Pat Nowak says the real
highlight is seeing the success and growth of Sylvania businesses.
"There's
new businesses that open every day, and they don't often have the time to
relate or get to all the customers," Nowak said. "So this is the perfect time
that people can come in and say, ‘Oh my gosh, I needed this service. Didn't
realize I needed it, but here they are and I can talk to them today.'"
The
expo is free and open to the public. It will last from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Saturday, March 23.
