A $2.9 million repaving project is underway on Conant Street in Maumee.
The roadwork stretches from the Anthony Wayne Trail to the entrance of the Ohio Turnpike.
The city is paying for newer, smoother roads and a median barrier island that will be installed at key points.
Contractors are also building sidewalks in areas lacking them, along with a new traffic signal.
City officials say weather permitting, the project will be completed by the end of June.
