Hundreds of local postal workers protested the proposed end to 6 day delivery Sunday outside Toledo's main branch on Saint Clair Street today.
Representatives from the local carriers union say that Saturday deliveries are still too important to drop entirely.
"That 6th day is important because, small businesses use us, the elderly use us, and it's important for the rural areas especially to get that 6th day of delivery. It would back mail up if we don't have that 6th day," said Skip Carman, President of NALC Branch 100.
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur was also there to show her support for the workers.
The postal service says they could save 2 billion dollars a year if they cut 6th day delivery.
