Firefighters battled an early morning house fire in Springfield Township on Monday.
According to fire dispatchers, the flames were spotted coming from a home on the 2100 block of Connecticut Blvd shortly before 4:30 a.m.
While battling the blaze, the roof collapsed into the home, allowing firefighters to only fight the flames from the outside.
Fire investigators say the house is currently vacant.
The owner lives in the area, and was considering renovating the house, according to officials.
The entire block on Connecticut Blvd was blocked off due to the fire and downed power lines. The road has since reopened.
Firefighters are monitoring the smoke to make sure the fire does not reignite.
Officials say the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The home is considered a total loss.
