An accidental shooting sent a local teenager to the hospital Monday night.
It happened just before 7 p.m. in Ottawa. Putnam County Sheriff's deputies tell WTOL 11 that two 18 year old males were in the back seat of a pick-up truck.
One of them, Josh Buckland, was showing his friend, Tristan Parker, his new Glock handgun, according to deputies, when it went off, shooting Parker in both legs.
The bullet apparently hit the right thigh, and exited the left calf.
The teen was treated at a local hospital and released.
The incident is under investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
