Planning, fundraising and practice is paying off for some students at Bowling Green High School.
After 21 months of preparation and fundraising, the Marching Bobcat Band is headed to a big performance in the Washington, DC area.
During the six-day trip, band members will perform at the World War II Memorial and Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia.
School officials say the last time Bowling Green High School students took this trip was in 1985, so faculty members feel this will be a great enrichment opportunity for students who don't have the opportunity to venture outside of the area often.
Amanda St. Hilaire spoke to band members on 'Your Morning,' to learn more about what it took to get there.
