Students landing jobs with hands-on training

Posted: Updated:
OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Students at an Oregon high school are getting hands-on experience with life-changing technology.

The machining and engineering program at Clay High  School has a new piece of equipment called the "CNC milling center." The tool can produce complex parts, including artificial hips and knees.

The goal is for students is to get experiencing using machines similar to those they would be using in the professional field.

More hands-on experience at an early age means better opportunities for jobs after graduation.

Instructors say the program can offer students a 100 percent chance of job placement.

Amanda St. Hilaire joins Clay High students live on ‘Your Morning' demonstrating how the technology works.
