Bar managers and workers are already talking about Opening Day. They say it's one of the busiest days of the year.

"For Opening Day, we have a nice full staff working all day. We have an Irish breakfast going on here starting at 9 in the morning," said Ruth Gamber, with The Blarney.

It's a time of the year when many of downtown's businesses have to make special preparations for the overflow of Mud Hens fans.

"We get about eight new positions and make sure they're completely trained by the time Opening Day comes around," said Amanda Allure, with Pizza Papalis.

Along with extra staff, Pizza Papalis will have four to five exclusive drink specials.
Over at The Blarney, there will be live music.

Packo's at the Park will have something a little unique.

"We bought the barrel of Jack Daniels. So we will have our own blend of Jack Daniels, single barrel select, that we picked out ourselves. It's the only place in Ohio where you can get this Jack Daniels," said Jason Mandel, with Packo's at the Park.

Bars in the Warehouse District can only hope they are prepared enough for the home opener.

"We're expecting a lot of people in and out. You're going to have your families that come in for dinner right before, and then you're going to have your regulars just come down to hang out," explained Mandel.

Others in the business agree.

"For the Blarney, I mean, it's a busy, busy day. So that's always good," said Gamber.

It's a busy day bars in the Warehouse District are looking forward to celebrating: a brand new season full of beer, partying, and all around fun.
