STRONGSVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

The meeting took place at the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) regional office in Independence.
Teachers have a countdown on their website of 8 days since they made an offer saying that's how many "Days Qualified Teachers would have been back in classroom had offer been accepted."
"The Board presented its Last Best Offer on March 2, and it is a proposal that is both sustainable and reflective of the economic realities we face today," Frazee stated on Friday. "We appreciate the sentiment of the resolution composed by City Council this week. We also
want the strike to end, but we remain guided by the principle that we must stay within our budget."
The strike is entering its seventh week.
A group of parents and students have gathered to protest at the negotiation site in Independence to pressure both sides to compromise and end this strike now.
