Six people who caused a riot last fall at the Lucas County Courthouse are taking plea deals.
The six were angry over the November sentencing for the rape conviction of 16-year-old Anthony Mitchell. Upset from the sentencing, all six disrupted the courtroom with verbal threats towards the victim. After they were escorted out of the courthouse, the group fought with police who came to the scene.
On Monday, they were all convicted of lesser charges.
The following were arrested and charged after the riot:
Mitchell and Nieto both pleaded no contest to felony charges of retaliation and obstruction of justice. The four others pleaded to misdemeanor misconduct at an emergency.
