A three-car accident on I-75 sent one man to the hospital early Tuesday morning.
According to police, a driver headed southbound near the I-475 West split rear-ended a convertible. A third car ended up in the wreck as well, because the driver could not avoid the collision.
Emergency crews on the scene had to free the driver of the convertible. He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to police.
The two other drivers were hurt, but are expected to be OK.
Police say speed played a role in the crash.
