TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man has been arrested and charged after spray painting graffiti on several businesses located along North Summit Street in Point Place.

"I'm just fed up. It's like one thing after another out here. We just don't have enough protection," said Wendy Bellas, owner of Flag Sales and Repair.

Bellas showed up to work Wednesday morning only to find the word "just" and a pyramid with an eyeball spray painted on the side of her building up the fire escape.

"For three weeks I've been coming to work and seen different people that have gotten it. And then this morning I saw ours and ours is probably the worst," said Bellas.

Al Crawford, a block watch captain in Point Place, says the graffiti is not only putting a stain on the buildings, but also the community. A huge advocate for his community, Crawford is proud of its low crime rate, but thinks that has a part to play in the latest graffiti tags.

"Point Place is the best place any place, but right now we're paying the price for being a low-crime area because our police officers are constantly called out to some place else," explained Crawford.

According to Toledo police, Jordan Myers, 18, was arrested and charged on four counts of criminal damage. Still, store owners want to see more done.

"It's terrible. And I frankly don't want to clean it up. I think whoever did it should come back and clean it up themselves," said Bellas.

On Thursday morning during his arraignment, Myers pleaded not guilty. The judge set his bond at $6,000.
