NORTH BALTIMORE, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Work is under way for the
first business to move in next to the CSX Intermodal ramp on Route 18 in North
International specializes in international logistics and transloading. They've
been in business since 1999, and they say their new headquarters near the CSX
Intermodal is a perfect fit.
facilitates a wide variety of customers, from some of the largest metal
importers in the country, down to individual customers shipping items overseas.
For three years now, they
have been working on a plan to relocate.
"We feel that it's going
to be the up-and-coming center for distribution of this area," said WillMar
President Bill Martin. "It's a perfect location for us."
The facility will be their
new headquarters, and various warehouse facilities across the country will be
consolidated to the new location. The move will make WillMar International the
only local filing-approved, licensed US Customs broker in the region, meaning
they can ship anything from or to anywhere.
Martin is also confident
the new facility will help spur other growth in the area.
"We will be the catalyst
to the steam ship lines, to the customers in the area to start utilizing that
ramp more," he said.
