PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Second Sole at Levis Commons will team up with dozens of local running stores Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for a group run/walk from Second Sole at Levis Commons, located at 4130 Levis Commons Boulevard, to pay tribute to and help support all of those in Boston.
The 'country-wide' official "Runners For Boston" shirt- along with possibly two other options- will be sold to raise money for those affected by the bombings.
Shirts will be available for purchase for a donation of $20, with all proceeds being forwarded to One Fund Boston, the charity endorsed by the Boston Athletic Association (and the mayor of Boston) to aid bombing victims.
Since the money is going to the One Fund Boston, all shirt payments are asked to be done by check or cash. All runners and walkers are welcome for this free event.
Runners and walkers are encouraged to wear Boston support shirts, any Boston Marathon gear, or yellow and light blue.
The race starts with a 3 mile loop marked with signs and mile markers through the plaza, and from there participants can finish, do more loops, or do an out and back.
