officials are working on saving the jobs of nine firefighters.
a 1 percent income tax was denied by voters last year, Findlay city council
approved laying off 20 firefighters and closing Station 4.
four months into 2013, the city is in better financial condition than
previously projected, so Mayor Lydia Mihalik sent a proposal to city council
asking to reduce the number of firefighters being laid off, from 20 to 11.
