Dewayne Thompson, wanted in the wounding and kidnapping of 17-year-old Katelyn Beard, has been captured by Jackson Police. He was taken into custody around 5:45 in west Jackson near where Beard's vehicle was found earlier today.

(TAHS) is offering reduced adoption fees on many of their furry friends.
adult cats will have their adoption fees reduced to $26.20, and those that have
been patiently waiting at TAHS a little longer will only be $13.10.
dogs will also have their fees reduced to $26.20.
adoption specials will run Friday through Sunday, April 26-28, so run on over
and meet your new best friend.

litters of kittens who are too young to be adopted. TAHS provides any supplies
volunteers may need while taking care of these little ones.

all their animals. These may include canned dog and cat food, new or gently
used towels and blankets, soft dog and cat treats, and kitty litter. Donations
can be dropped off at TAHS during business hours: Tuesday through Friday from
11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
