The Ohio State Highway Patrol says alcohol was a factor in a construction zone crash on Sunday.
38 year old Trever Hughes of Lima was driving on State Route 81 when a trooper says he clocked him going 83 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour construction zone.
The trooper says Hughes took a curve at the high speed and went off the road. When Hughes over-corrected, his SUV rolled several times into a ditch and he was ejected.
Hughes was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Lima Memorial hospital for his injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
