Workers who suffered and died on the job were remembered on Sunday.
It was Workers Memorial Day, an annual event that renews the fight for safe work places.
In 2012, 5 UAW workers died on the job. 3 of them were in the Ohio-Indiana region.
The day is honored by all UAW workers.
"All of our units and locations across the country do something special within their work sites to recognize and remember those that lost their lives on the job," said Stephen Kemp, assistant director of UAW region 2B.
This year, the United Auto Workers are calling for good jobs in our country that are safe and healthy, and for stronger measures to prevent injuries and save lives.
