PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Get ready for more construction, this time in front of Levis Commons.
Starting this Thursday, traffic will be reduced to one lane northbound on State Route 25, between Roachton Road and the I-475 entrance ramp. Southbound lanes could also be reduced.
It's all to add a right-turn lane to SR 25, making it easier to get onto 475 southbound, but the extra construction will make shopping more difficult.
"I will definitely come here less frequently," said Monica Jay. "The traffic on certain evenings and weekends is already bad enough."
It may take longer to exit Levis Commons Boulevard, as well. The left-turn lane will also be reduced next month. But store owners say they aren't worried about business slowing down.
"There's such great traffic throughout Levis, and it's such a unique complex to the area, that I do think everyone will still be loyal and come," said Keri Suhy, owner of Vivian Kate.
And while Jay said she will head elsewhere to avoid construction, others say they will take the extra time needed to get to Levis.
"Yeah, I think I'll be out here just as much," said Ashley Cox. "It's worth the hassle."
