of Toledo's abortion clinics is on the verge of losing its license after a
failure to have a transfer agreement with a full-service hospital.
Center for Choice was notified they have 30 days to request a hearing on the
health department regulations require abortion clinics to have a transfer
agreement with a hospital that is willing to accept patients who experience
complications that an outpatient facility can't handle. The last time the
Center for Choice had a transfer agreement with any of the major Toledo
hospitals was in 2010.
hospitals say they will accept any patient in need of care with or without
written agreement, they just want to stand clear of the controversial issue of
