A new restaurant opened
Friday at Mayberry Square in Sylvania Township.
Brenda Boudrie says she
dreamed of serving people, so after the recession took its toll on the car
industry, where she worked, she decided to fulfill her dream. She headed west to
study hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Boudrie learned how to
open and operate a business, and when the former Chili Jack's location opened
at Mayberry Square, she decided it was time.
Going with the Mayberry
theme, Boudrie's place is named B's Café – from Aunt Bea on The Andy Griffith
The menu features hot
dogs, chili mac, and B's now-famous loaded potato and barbeque beef.
Boudrie says she wanted to
stay open until 8 p.m. throughout the week for families with active schedules.
"I've had several parents
in there this week with their sons, coming in to have a hot dog before they
went home because they didn't have time to cook," she said. "So that's one of
the reasons…to take care of those families who are busy and don't have time to
