SENECA COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Jobs are available in
Seneca County, and officials are working hard to get those positions filled.
In 10 days, the county
will hold its first ever county-wide job fair at Tiffin University, where
dozens of employers will be looking to fill hundreds of jobs.
The fair will be held on
Monday, May 13 from 1-4:30 p.m. in Tiffin University's Heminger Center.
With hundreds of job
openings in the area, local officials were more than happy to facilitate the
job fair to connect businesses with job seekers. It was made possible through collaboration
between the City of Tiffin, Seneca County, and local businesses.
"If you're willing to make
the drive to Tiffin, come here for the jobs fair, because we've got a lot of
jobs that are being offered at that time," Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz said. "I
just think it's a great way for the government to give back to the people."
Pre-registration for the
event ended Friday, but job hunters are still free to show up the day of the
fair and register at the door.
