CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

For the first time since federal agents raided the Tennessee headquarters of his family business, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam addressed the Cleveland media on Tuesday, shortly after speaking at the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame-Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet at LaCentre in Westlake.

Haslam reiterated that the rebate allegations against his company, Pilot Flying J, are embarrassing, and that reading the affidavit back on April 18th, three days after the FBI and IRS raided his corporate offices made him "sick to his stomach".

Haslam also told 19 Action News and other reporters that he has been talking with hundreds of trucking companies, asking for a second chance, and working to rebuild his company's reputation.

NFL officials have said the league had no plans to ask Haslam to relinquish control of the Browns during the investigation. While lawsuits have been filed against Haslam, no charges have been filed in the case, and Haslam continues to maintain his innocence.
