PUTNAM COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office tells us they found the bodies of two boys involved in an Amber Alert Thursday morning.
The alert was issued for Blake Aaron Romes, 17, Michael Aaron Fay, 17, and Blaine Romes, 14 around 11 a.m. Thursday. A few hours later the vehicle involved, a silver 2006 Chevy HHR, was found in the Columbus area, with one 17-year-old inside. The Amber Alert was then canceled, although two boys were still missing.
The sheriff's office reported that at 5:20 Thursday evening, the 17-year-old that had been found and detained in Columbus told officers the locations of the bodies of the two other individuals involved in the Amber Alert.
Multiple agencies responded to that location along Road 7 just outside of Ottawa, where the bodies of the other 17-year-old and the 14-year-old were found.
The identities of the bodies found are not being released.
No cause of death is being released at this time. Also, no word if any charges will be filed.
The case is still under investigation.
We will update the story with further information as it becomes available.
