May is national Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, when all motorists are reminded to "share the road, and be extra alert to help keep motorcyclists safe.
More than 20 percent of motorcycle deaths in the last two years were caused by a lack of safety gear and lack of training, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
