TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Firefighters battled a house fire in east Toledo late Saturday night. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
An emergency call for the fire came in around 11 p.m. for a home at the corner of Earl and Forsythe Streets.
A resident on the same street tells WTOL 11 he was standing across the street smoking a cigarette, when he saw an explosion from the front patio of the home. He then saw the backside of the house light up in flames.
Other neighbors say the same house was on fire earlier this week.
Several emergency crews responded to the scene. The flames spread to a neighboring home, catching the roof on fire.
No injuries were reported in the home, which appeared to be unoccupied.
