The Ohio State Highway Patrol Toledo Post is currently investigating a one-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred shortly after midnight Wednesday on Reynolds Road, north of Regency Drive in Sylvania Township.
Joshua Marks, 30, of Toledo, was driving a Chevrolet Impala southbound on Reynolds when he traveled off the left side of the road, striking a small post, going through a chain-link fence and hitting an office building.
Marks was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported to a Toledo hospital for life-threatening injuries.
Robin Lantz, 27, of Toledo, was sitting in the front seat and wearing a seatbelt. She sustained minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital.
A 2-year-old strapped in a car seat in the back was not injured.
Troopers say alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. Charges are pending for Marks.
