Quick response from the Vermilion Police Department saved the life of a 17-year-old swimmer in Lake Erie.
On Sunday May 26, 2013 at approximately 7:05 p.m. the Vermilion Police Department received a phone call from Delores Kovacs stating that her daughter, 17-year-old Carolyn Kingsboro, was swimming in Lake Erie off of Main Street Beach.
Kovacs was concerned that her daughter was too far from shore to be able to return.
Vermilion Police sent a police boat to the area. No one was spotted.
