TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

As Toledo Police search for Daquaine Booth, wanted in a west Toledo murder, the victim's mother is talking about her loss and the two others who have been arrested.

On New Year's Eve, Bernice Howard learned she would never hug her son, Brian Minley, again.

"When something like that happens to you and you're not expecting it, you just kind of go numb," Howard said. "You go numb, and you pray."

Howard says her only son was a gifted child and a talented musician.

"He was just a loving person," she said. "He would have been a kind father and a tremendously, tremendously good man. But his life was cut short by all of this."

Police say Booth, along with Keith Brooks, shot and killed Minley during a robbery on New Year's Eve. A third person, Ashley Hundstrucker, is said to have been driving the getaway vehicle.

"Do I forgive these three people?" Howard asked. "Absolutely, absolutely. I forgive them for the act, but I will never forget."
