Two Solon officers are lucky to be alive after a chase and shootout back in March.
19 Action News is now learning more about what led to this deadly shooting.
But most who've watched say it shows the officers had no choice but to shoot and kill Kevin Bailey.
The dash cam is available now because the officers have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
At first 22-year-old Bailey is seen cooperating with Patrolman Steven Davis but the officer thinks he smells drugs.
The officer returns to his squad car and a few minutes later, now with back up, they approach the car and tell Bailey he needs to get out of the car.
"You don't have to roll your window up you're not going anywhere," stated Officer Davis.
And that's when Bailey takes off.
The chase only lasts about 45 seconds, when he looses control around a corner. Next he makes a deadly decision.
The police chief has also allowed some evidence pictures to be released that show the number of shots Bailey got off into two police cars.
In one picture you see where one of the officer's badge and ballistic vest took direct hits.
