Woman arrested for fake bomb threat in Perrysburg

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A local woman was arrested for claiming she had a gun and bomb in a store. Cathy Rapp, 64 was charged with inducing panic and was released from the Wood County Jail on a O.R. Bond. Rapp has an arraignment scheduled on July 2nd at Perrysburg Municipal Court.  

Rapp was in Kazmaier's Market on Monday June 10 just after 6:00 in the evening. Someone called 911 claiming there was a woman expressing that she had a firearm and bomb. She continued on to say she would use those weapons if anyone got close to her, according to Perrysburg Police.

When Perrysburg police officers responded, the subject was taken into custody without any harm or damage to anyone in the store.

Perrysburg police tell us Rapp did not have possession of a firearm or a bomb.
